Your UIC Meal Plan

If you are an undergraduate student living on campus, you are required to have a meal plan. All meal plans will provide you with a set number of entries to UIC’s buffet-style dining halls. For each meal, you will be able to eat as much food as you would like from a rotating menu that will include halal, kosher, vegan and vegetarian options. Meals are offered multiple times a day at dining halls across campus.

In addition to dining hall access, your meal plan will include a set number of funds called “Flames Fare.” This UIC currency can be used at select restaurants on campus, including:

  • Au Bon Pain, a fast-casual bakery and café that serves coffee
  • Chick-fil-A, a quick-service chicken restaurant chain serving chicken sandwiches, salads and more
  • Panda Express, a quick-service Chinese food restaurant
  • Freshii, a fast-casual restaurant franchise that serves burritos, wraps, soups, salads and frozen yogurt
  • Several coffee shops throughout campus
  • And more!
When you are not eating at the dining hall, you can prepare your own food or explore the many delicious restaurants around Chicago. Like Chicago-style deep dish pizza or hot dogs. Or nearby favorites in Chinatown or Greektown.

You can choose between two different meal plan options, depending on your preferences.
