College of Engineering graduate students reap the benefits of our excellent faculty, who enrich the lives of our students. Eighty-three members of the faculty are fellows of societies such as ASCE, ACM, ASME, IEEE and AAAS. The MS and PhD programs in Bioengineering provide education in the research and development of systems using modern engineering concepts and methods. These methods apply modern technology to problems of living systems and health care.

Bioinformatics develops methods and computing tools for understanding biological data. As an integrative field of science, bioinformatics combines computer science, statistics, mathematics and engineering to analyze and interpret biological data.
