The world of marketing is explored through courses in Marketing Communication and Promotional Strategy, Consumer Behavior and Digital and Social Media Marketing. Students graduate with the skills to progress to executive roles in various career tracks.

Three prerequisite courses (either graduate level or equivalent course at undergraduate level) are required for the MSM program:

  • Introduction to Marketing Management (MKTG 500 at grad level, or MKTG 360 at undergrad level);
  • Organizational Behavior (MGMT 541 at grad level, or MGMT 340 at undergrad level);
  • Introduction to Accounting (ACTG 500 at grad level, OR ACTG 210 at undergrad level) OR Introduction to Finance (FIN 500 at grad level, or FIN 301 at undergrad level).

An admitted student may also fulfill missing prerequisites at the start of the MSM program, although this will increase the time to degree completion. Note that prerequisite courses are in addition to the required 34 credit hours to earn the MS in Marketing degree.
